LIGHT OF TRUTH * LIGHT OF CHRIST * GHANDI
LIGHT OF CHRIST
The Prince of Peace is the greatest way-shower of all time: Jesus Christ — because he overcame the false belief in death and showed us that the kingdom is within all of us. He told us to "take care of the least among us" which means THE POOR, the workers, the children, the homeless, the hungry.
He did not care if you believed in his flesh or personality; he commanded us to abide in love! "To love our neighbor as ourself; to love our enemies. TO NEVER FIGHT EVIL. Fighting ones' enemies is futile. God is Love. Other great way-showers are: Jesus Christ, Buddha, Gandhi, Lai Tse Tung, Dalai Lama, Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science; Emmet Fox, the minister from England who wrote the best book I've ever read on Christ: "The Sermon on the Mount" — the spiritual key to Matthew Wayne Dyer; Viktor Frankl, Depak Chopra and "Conversations with God" author Neal Donald Walsch.

I actually prefer Peter Cook's take on mistakes:

Hi Lydia,
Again you speak the words of TRUTH,and know that the key to human existance is the fundamentals of LOVE and TRUTH.
PEACE and HARMONY.
Jesus Christ is the core of all love and truth, and humans have to take HIS teachings to incorporate that love and truth into their own hearts and souls.
We all fall short of the glory of God, and that's why we get angry at things that upset us, but we have to find love and truth in life to overcome that anger.
Life today, doesn't compare to yesterday anymore, but even as tough as times might get, we still have to be focused on our 1 primary focus, and that is the LOVE and TRUTH, Jesus Christ taught us to begin with.

I agree with everything you quoted from Gandhi here. He definitely was an extraordinary person, and I genuinely admire him.

Hey Lyd, hope everything is allright and I hope everything gets straightened out at your other blog, I really miss the updates on the main blog.
BTW, I really like the black background i think it looks sharp, but the white letters dont have a lot of contrast like Worf said, maybe you can make them bold and increase the font size a notch and it might make them easier to read, not that its that hard though.

In all my searches for spiritual truth and religious enlightenment, none has carried me further down the path than a simple axoim:
Know thyself, and to thine ownself, be true.
People, to put it mildly, suck.
Well, most of them. But here's the beauty of this planet and the internets. With six billion people, you're bound to eventually run across enough who fit your life and philosophy nicely enough that they DON'T suck.
So long as you know who you are, you can know what you want. And once you know that, doors begin to open for you.
You learn to accept people for who they are, and while you don't have to literally "love all", you DO have to respect that each and every one of us got here, somehow, to this moment in time.
Mind you, I came to all this without once having to attend an AA meeting :-) It just seems like such a natural progression in life. Jesus teaches us this, and while I don't buy into the whole mantle he's been laden with of church and religion, this part of his teaching has a ring of truth.
We each of us has struggled to get to this exact moment, and so many before us have not gotten here. That says something to me, that if you're reading this, I have to credit you with being here to read it, and once I've established your humanity, it makes it easier for me to comprehend you.

Lydia,
I've only read a little bit about Ghandi, Wayne Dyer has fantastic books, as well as his show on PBS.
Many religions speak of peace and love but like most societies, those things seldom happen.
The thing that bothers most about religion is the hypocracy. It seems that "religious leaders" have made religion corporate and political, not spiritual and peaceful.
How many millions of poor in America and abroad could be helped if the dollars used for war, were used for the needy.
The ministries that feed the poor and homeless in our inner cities scrape to make ends meet, while our government spends billions to destroy those they do not know.
How true Larry.
Hi, Lydia,
I'm so glad to have found your blog!
Much love,
Laura

what would one be willing to sacrifice for the truth as many that seek seem to be lost in good intentions. Can love only be appreciated by those who have learnt to hate?
I apologize to everyone here for not updating the posts. On my regular blog at lydiacornell.com we have a raucous bunch and discuss politics and spirituality.
But this is the place I will focus my attention in the near future. this is the peaceful place that calms the nerves.
Please submit articles to me via my web email if you have spiritual healings or any miracles you want to share, no matter how "small."
Thanks and God Bless!
